Join the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies for a two-day symposium on emerging technologies, featuring leading government, industry, and academia experts. This year's discussions will explore the forces shaping the future of technology and policy—from the infrastructure fueling artificial intelligence's growth to the impact of emerging technologies on modern conflict, global markets, and power dynamics.

This series of workshops cover how to prepare materials and apply for the Life Design Lab / Center for Student Success Summer Scholarship. This session will focus on how to create a summer budget. Open to Johns Hopkins undergraduates.

Amber Murphy, assistant director for communication access, will present on different modalities to aid in communication (such as live transcription, closed captioning, ASL interpreters, and other accommodations) as well as Deaf cultural practices and norms to consider in any setting. Light refreshments provided to in-person attendees.

Emergency nurse Valérie Gruhn, who has worked with Médecins sans frontières (MSF)/Doctors Without Borders in conflict zones and epidemics, will speak about the value of knowing French for careers in global public health. While the event is open to all campus affiliates, please note it will be held in French.
